The LISAR tracking dog service is delivered with dog handlers and has 4
disciplines. The tracking dog service human fragrance
and fire detection.
The service tracking dogs human fragrance has the most applications and
is divided in 3 tasks; application in the transport sector, the tracking of
missing persons who are supposedly still alive and are located on
countryside terrain and carrion/corpse dogs.
Tracking dogs for application in the transport sector.
LISAR is a company that offers a solution for transport
organisations who are confronted with smuggling people. We have developed an
unique way of working for solving these problems by using tracking –SAR
dogs combined with possible technical equipment.
The control of the to be
researched object is done externally and will take about 10 minutes per
combination. Because of this way of working undesired people who are
hiding in containers can be excluded.
Because of our new training program – THE NEW GENERATION OF TRACKER
& SNIFFER DOGS (TaSD) we are able to deliver dogs with handlers that
are better than regular tracking dogs as we know them in the Netherlands.
We have proven this many times before in real life situations.
For a year or 2 now LISAR has developed a variety for the fast and
efficient search of containers, trucks, ships etc., for the presence of
people. This variety is being used gratefully at the moment in America by
the border patrols. Our new method teaches dogs also to react to smells
that are created after the person has died. Dependant on the circumstances
the fragrance will turn faster or slower into the fragrances of the
decomposing products. Because the last smell is different from the first a
special training is required. The dogs are appropriate for early and late
detection.
LISAR is the first company to offer this new possibility.
The training is according to the IRO program with our module "THE
NEW GENERATION OF TRACKER AND SNIFFER DOGS". The
dog and the handler are tight team together, also called combination. The
dog is taught to show his handler if he senses human fragrances and where
he senses it. This last part is called "referring". Because of
the high density of the population in the Netherlands the dog is only
taught to refer to sitting, laying or unreachable people. A tracking-SAR
dog searches and refers to all persons in and under all objects that are
laying, sitting or hidden. The dogs are not like police dogs dependant on
a so-called walking fragrance trail but of a fragrance stream.
These dogs are obedient and have a good cooperation with the handler.
The dogs are not aggressive towards humans and animals and they have the
capability to take obstacles that are an absolute necessity for the well
functioning in real life situations. Tracking-SAR dogs have the ability to
trace people within a reasonable amount of time.
These LISAR tracking dogs were raised in a family situation and because
of this they have better social skills than police and security companies
surveillance. They can also be brought together on a small terrain easily
which is of essential importance during the deployment in areas with many
people and traffic.
The social aspect must take further care of the requirement that dogs
never bite the located persons and bystanders or cause any other form of
injury. The training is also significantly different. The dogs are trained
for worked during a longer time ( several hours) on end so that they can
search the object that needs to be searched for presence for stowaways
individually together with the handler.
Tracking for people in …
For the purpose- tracking for humans who have
hidden in a container, ship, trucks etc – there is the possibility to
deploy tracking-SAR dogs. These dogs are provided with the certificates from
the International Rescue dog Organisation accompanied with our module TaSD.
These dogs search according to a totally different method than police dogs.
The control can be done on stops for drivers and there where the highest
risk is present that unwanted persons are hiding in or under the
combination. The possibility exists to do the control collectively as a
"flying brigade".

The tracking dogs explosives is a complementary
security measure and can be done for a research of automobiles, buildings,
postage packets aeroplanes, ships and others. This service is provided to
particulars and governments.

The tracking dogs service is provided to
governments and incidentally to companies.

The tracking service mines is delivered to those
countries that are confronted with this problem after a conflict.
