Pro Detection SAR Ltd. is a joint venture arrangement between Specialized K9 Services, the Royal Valley group and LiSAR K9 Training of the Netherlands. The purpose of this company is to facilitate, provide and deliver highly specialized K9 consultancy and support services to Government and national security agencies, high-end security and Para-military companies, private organizations and individuals which are required to treat with the issues of prevention and detection of crime, terrorism and disaster response and management.

Pro Detection SAR Ltd brings a new and holistic approach to the development of K9 units and training in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean, one that will deliver successful results in the short term but more importantly, one that is design to ensure long term development that will be permanent, reliable and sustainable. Our vision is to make Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean a hard target for the drug trade and terrorist activity and a primary source of such training and support services in the region.

Pro Detection SAR Ltd is probably the only locally based provider with the experience and resources both at home and abroad that can satisfy a tactical K9 training program for our military and other national security agencies. Our international partners are recognized as some of the best in the world with the experience, expertise and capacity to back it up and we will bring this same level of training and certification to our security forces here in the Caribbean.

Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean basin is a highly attractive for commercial activity, trade, tourism and industrial development. Additionally there are high levels of shipping and airline activity due to its geographic location between the Americas.

Our natural resources, tropical climate, cosmopolitan make-up and democratically elected system of governance also add to the attraction to this region.

Unfortunately, the same makes us attractive and an obvious target for the international illegal drug trade, terrorism and terrorist activity. This places a great responsibility and burden on National Security agencies and on state resources in order to protect our coastlines and ports of entry and borders.

Trinidad and Tobago and its CARICOM partners are vulnerable to Natural Disasters such as Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Volcanic eruptions and all the dangerous elements that accompany them. Additionally, poor building codes and ad-hoc population settlements further exposes Caribbean territories to the dangers of natural disasters. Unlike breeches in National Security these events cannot be prevented, however, it is our duty as a Nation to put measures in place to minimize its harmful effects.
