   The NBvdD certifies for a long time the combinations, dog and handler in the discipline "Explosive Detection Dog".

The NBvdD has in narrow consultation with the Ministry of Justice determined that all combinations which submit an application for the discipline "Explosive Detection Dog", fall under the functioning of the law on the non-governmental Security Organizations and Investigation Bureaus (Wpbr). Directive Department of Justice dd 24-01-2006.

The NBvdD was setup and established in Amsterdam, 25 September 1931. The NBvdD is recognized at Royal Decree since 6 May 1932, number 37.

The NBvdD has more than 21,500 combinations certified in intervening period for the Police Force/Judicial Authorities/ Military Defense and Security Organizations.
